Sharing is Caring...

In recent news, the company Invenergy plans to build a large-scale solar panel production facility in Ohio which would mean a positive step forward for the renewable energy industry and renewable energy recruitment. Not only will this create a bundle of job opportunities but also aid support in the development of clean energy solutions for Ohio and the wider region.  The facility will be located in the town of Wood County, near the city of Bowling Green. The plant is expected to create 150 union construction jobs and will have a production capacity of 1.3 GW of solar panels per year.

The announcement of this new plant is an exciting development for the state of Ohio, which has been seeking to attract more investment in renewable energy. The state has already made significant progress in this area, with more than 3 GW of installed solar capacity, and this new plant is set to add significantly to that total.

Invenergy has a strong track record in the renewable energy sector, with over 30 GW of renewable energy capacity installed or under development around the world. The company’s decision to build a solar panel production plant in Ohio is a clear sign of the growing demand for solar energy and the opportunities it presents for job creation and economic growth.

The new plant will be built on a 1,500-acre site and is expected to employ around 500 people when fully operational. It will use the latest technology in solar panel production, including advanced robotics and automation systems, to produce high-quality solar panels at a competitive price.

The construction of the plant is expected to begin in the second half of 2021, with completion scheduled for 2023. Invenergy has stated that it is committed to working with local suppliers and contractors to maximize the economic benefits of the project for the local community.

In addition to the economic benefits of the project, the new solar panel production plant will also contribute to Ohio’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a more sustainable energy system. The state has set a goal of achieving 5 GW of solar capacity by 2025 and this new plant will make a significant contribution towards that target.

Overall, Invenergy’s plans to build a $220m solar panel production plant in Ohio is a positive development for the state and the renewable energy sector as a whole. The plant will create jobs, boost the local economy, and contribute to Ohio’s efforts to transition to a more sustainable energy system.
