Sharing is Caring...
With the renewable energy industry progressing exponentially, energy industry recruiters play a vital role in the industry’s growth by ensuring corporations are supplied with like-minded executives with the same vigor to power organizations with clean energy. As was in recent years, the demand for renewable energy will continue to rise in 2022 as corporations, large and small, are urged by the general public and government sectors to employ clean energy practices in an effort to decrease carbon emissions. As an added incentive, renewable energy is becoming increasingly popular among consumers and businesses alike because it is rich in supply, cost-efficient, and creates no negative environmental impact.

Renewable Energy Trends To Look Out For

As environmental organizations implore corporations to take more environmentally-friendly initiatives, consumers have opted for and favored green companies, giving them a competitive advantage. Naturally, corporations have heeded the call of eco-activists to utilize renewable energy, not just for social responsibility but also for the undeniable financial benefits.

Solar PV

A solar power plant is a power generation facility that uses solar radiation to run an electrical generator or supply thermal energy. Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems use photovoltaics as the primary energy conversion layer in their system, consisting of solar panels and photovoltaic cells.

The US Department of Energy concludes that solar PV capacity has grown by 50.3% per year on average over the past decade. The United States had installed 2,400 megawatts of solar PV by the end of 2017. It is expected to grow to 4,500 megawatts in 2018. In 2016, global solar PV installations reached 261 GW, more than double the amount installed in 2015. In that year, China was responsible for most of this growth, 76%, followed by Japan at 14% and Germany and India at 5% each.

Wind Energy

Wind energy is a renewable energy source that converts wind kinetic energy into electrical power. The US Department of Energy reports that wind-generated 6.5% of all US electricity in 2017 accounted for more than 5% of the total installed capacity of 97 gigawatts. In 2016, worldwide installed wind capacity reached 266 GW, expected to reach 400 GW in 2030.

Biomass Energy

Biomass is a generic term for a wide range of plant matter used as food, feedstock, or fuel. Biomass is an efficient renewable energy resource because it releases oxygen during its combustion and produces little to no greenhouse gas emissions.

Biomass is not a single fuel but a broad category that includes many different types of materials. There is a wide range of biomass fuels, some more widely used than others. Biomass fuels include wood waste and other solid materials such as municipal solid waste (MSW), crop residue, poultry litter, and treated wood products in the US.
